Turkish Dishes: Pilav with Chestnut

Last time , we had this pilav was during New Year's  Eve  2011 in Kefken with our big family.

really really awesome Pilav!

Preparation: 20 minutes
Cooking:  20 minutes

What you will need:

1/2kg chestnuts-previously cooked on the stove or oven.
2 cups of rice
4 cups of water
2 table spoon butter
2 table spoon salt
2 table spoon pine nuts
2 table spoon black raisin

How to prepare:
  1. Rice should rest in salty warm water for 10 minutes. 
  2. Then toss into butter pan. Toss in the pine nuts next.
  3. Add the cups of water.
  4. Cook for about 10 minutes or until rice cooks.
  5. Add cooked chestnuts and raisin
  6. Keep the lid close for about 15 minutes after turning off the heat.

  1. the rice is perfect for the occasion because it has chestnuts. yummy!
