Turkish Dishes: Carrot with Garlic Yogurt

Carrot with Garlic Yogurt

Turkish just love to have a salad dish on dinner table. Salad does not come after a meal or before, it is served with the meal and set middle of the table or distributed to everyone with a separate dish.

This side dish actually is served on ''Raki Tables''. By the way , Raki is our traditional alcoholic beverage. It is a bit strong and preferred to drink with cold water.

What you will need:
2 medium size carrots
1 cup olive oil
2 cloves of garlic
1 cup of full fat yoghurt
1 pinch of dry mint

How to prepare:
Shred the carrot. Allow to rest on hot olive oil until it absorbs the water and olive oil. After ten minutes, set aside the shredded carrot on a separate dish.

Toss in the yoghurt and mix with garlic. Blend.

Pour the mixture on top of the carrot with mint.

Afiyet Olsun!
