Turkish Dishes: Yayla Soup (Yogurt Soup)

ANOTHER FAVORITE!
Soup time! Normally, Turkish dinner starts with soup and this is one of the Turk's favorite. Quite simple to prepare.

What you will need:
1 egg
250 grams yogurt
1 tablespoon flour
1 cup of rice
1 tablespoon dry mint
1 teaspoon dessert thyme
1 teaspoon salt

How to prepare:
Mix all ingrediens except water. Add the water slowly until it boils. Make sure the rice is cooked well.

Soup toppings:

1 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 cup butter

Small meatballs(optional)

1 glass of vegetable oil to fry meatballs

Melt the parsley with butter in a separate pot. Add on top of your soup before serving. Should you opt for the meatballs, you can add also before serving.
