Eid Mubarak, Doha! Welcome to another 10-day holiday like Eid Al-Adha 2011! Woohoo! More importantly, may we all be able to celebrate the real meaning of the season - the real meaning of sacrifice. Abraham was willing to sacrifice his son, Isaac (for the Christian world according to our Bible) or Ishmael (according to the Koran) to show his love for God. Christian or Muslim, or any other religion - may we be able to sacrifice big things or little things to manifest our love for God.
In this part of the world, to show this sacrifice this holiday, Muslims sacrifice sheep and give the food to the poor and hungry. Well, someone is not willing to be sacrificed apparently - we saw this sheep got loose and saw how he ran for his dear life. He eventually got caught though without much show - much to our dismay. *winks!
