Turkish Dishes: Kadinbudu Kofte

English word for the meal is croquette with minced meat and rice. But when you translate the word , "kadinbudu" straight in English it turns out ''woman's buttock meat ball. It is a weird name alright for a food. But not really out of this world weird.

What you'll need.

400 gr minced meat
1 cup of cooked rice-but make sure it does not cook fully.i will tell you why at the end.
1 tea spoon cumin
1 big onion
half bunch of dill or parsley-chopped
1 tea spoon black pepper
1 pinch red pepper powder , if you like a bit chilly meat balls.
100 gr corn flour or regular all purpose flour
1 cups of vegetable oil

What you'll do

Put the rice into the boiling water for ten minutes, make sure rice shouldn't cook fully.
Get half of the minced meat in a big cup and add all herbs, shredded onion, cooked rice and peppers you would like and even you can add currants which is popular in Turkish kitchen!

Place the mixed minced meat in to hot oil and cook until the meat changes its red color. After cooking let it cool down for an hour in a separate container.

Later on, mix with other part of the minced meat(raw one) and add mint and salt , give round shape , deep in corn flour then doss in the hot oil and then serve warm.

Afiyet Olsun!
